JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The BetMGM app that is now available to the residents of New Jersey offers an entirely new gaming experience. Not only are there numerous new features within the platform, but it also serves as a rebranding of PlayMGM, the app that started it all in 2017.
"Today's an exciting day as we launch the rebranded and upgraded BetMGM app in New Jersey," said Adam Greenblatt, CEO of Roar Digital, LLC. "We're thrilled to give our customers bigger and bolder opportunities to enjoy the games and unique experiences that BetMGM will provide as the professional and collegiate football seasons get underway. We believe our product takes in-game entertainment to the next level."
Roar Digital is a partnership made up of both GVC Holdings and MGM Resorts International. BetMGM combines both companies’ strengths to make one very unique sports betting app. Using GVC’s sports betting platform, fans can place wagers on both professional and college matches that include baseball, soccer, basketball, football, and hockey. Other sports competitions will be available for bets as well. The MGM part of the app allows members to play poker and casino-style games, something that the MGM brand is best known for.
What sets this new sports wagering platform apart from its competitors comes from its latest features. BetMGM has a "Early Cash Out" feature, which gives bettors the option to settle up before the end of a game so that they can either walk away with a payout or quit before they lose it all. Their "One Wallet System" makes it easy for members to transfer funds between their casino games and sportsbook accounts. They offer "Track Your Bet", which gives customers continuous updates on how their wagers are doing in real-time.
"Boosted Offers" gives gamblers access to daily promotions and boosts on wagers for various sporting events. And if all of that wasn’t enough, their "Smoother Transactions" feature makes deposits and withdraws easy with the use of PayPal, Skrill, and Play +.
While the legalization of sports betting throughout the United States is on the rise, mobile sports betting is not as popular within state laws. It’s almost a split as to which states offer mobile sports betting. However, with mobile betting gaining in popularity among states that allow it, BetMGM will only stand to prove how lucrative this aspect of wagering on sporting events can be.
"The combination of the power of MGM's brand, alongside GVC's state-of-the-art technology and online sports-betting expertise, will ensure that the BetMGM offering is at the forefront of the US sport-betting opportunity,” said Kenneth Alexander, CEO of GVC Holdings.
Buffalo Wild Wings And Roar Digital
Buffalo Wild Wings has partnered with Roar Digital and will be promoting BetMGM at their New Jersey locations. Patrons of the restaurant will be able to bet on sporting events using the app. When other states allow for legal mobile wagering, they will be able to use the app at their Buffalo Wild Wings locations.
“Our partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings is an important development in MGM and Roar’s position as the leader in sports entertainment and betting,” said Jim Murren, MGM Resorts chairman and CEO. “With more than 1,200 sports bars across the country, Buffalo Wild Wings is firmly established as a ‘go to’ venue for sports viewing in all of its markets. Adding access to MGM’s world class properties and the BetMGM mobile app will create unique customer experiences and redefine how fans enjoy sports.”
BetMGM will be making a name for itself as other states get sorted out on sports betting legislation. Once more states allow for mobile sports wagering at US sportsbooks, BetMGM will be an app that will have the popularity it needs to do business in those states. As it is, partnering with Buffalo Wild Wings locations is a great start in their promotion nationwide.
