  • The Indianapolis Colts are favored over the Baltimore Ravens on the road for their first game of the 2025 preseason.
  • Pete Carroll and the Raiders are favored on the road as well, as Carroll makes his return to Seattle.

BALTIMORE – Week 1 of the NFL Preseason officially kicks off Thursday night and the first game on the docket is between the Indianapolis Colts and the Baltimore Ravens at 7 PM EST. Let’s take a look at the odds for some of Thursday night’s action.

Colts vs Ravens Game Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Colts -3.5 (-115) -170 O 35.5 (-110)
Ravens +3.5 (-105) +145 U 35.5 (-110)

The Colts open as road favorites against the Ravens at online sportsbooks for their first matchup of the preseason.

Baltimore has had some well-documented success in the preseason, rattling off an NFL record 24 consecutive games before their streak was snapped by the Washington Commanders in 2023.

However, they have stumbled in the past two preseasons, going 1-2 in each of the past two years. On the other hand, the Colts have been solid in the preseason since hiring head coach Shane Steichen in 2023, going 2-1 both seasons.

The Colts will get a boost from their quarterback situation as well, as both Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones have a shot to win the starting position with strong play in the preseason.

With Baltimore likely resting the majority of their starters and the Colts’ QBs incentivized to have big games, the Colts are an easy pick to cover the three and a half point spread.

Raiders vs Seahawks Game Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Raiders -2.0 (-110) -130 O 36.0 (-110)
Seahawks +2.0 (-110) +110 U 36.0 (-110)

NFL sportsbooks have Pete Carroll and the Raiders listed as favorites over his former team in their game for Week 1 of the preseason.

Former Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith is expected to be the starter for the Raiders this season as well, but whether or not he plays much or at all in the preseason remains to be seen.

Behind Smith, Vegas has Aidan O’Connell, who has recorded a few starts over his first two seasons in the league, as well as rookie Cam Miller out of North Dakota State.

As for Seattle, they brought in Sam Darnold via free agency and rookie Jalen Milroe from Alabama in the third round of this year’s draft to accompany Drew Lock in the QB room. We can expect to see plenty of Milroe both in Week 1 and the rest of the preseason.

It is difficult to say that either team has much of a decided advantage, but Pete Carroll’s return to Seattle should have his guys ready to go. Lay the money with Vegas as road favorites.
