KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Chiefs will be hosting the Tennessee Titans for the AFC Conference Championship game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday. The Chiefs (-330) are the heavy 7.5-point favorite with a home-field advantage and a record of 13-4 for the season.

The Titans went 11-7 for the year but have taken down bigger teams than the Chiefs in the postseason with a Wild Card win against the New England Patriots, 20-13 and then a Divisional round win against the Baltimore Ravens, 28-12.

The Face-Off

While it’s true that Tennessee left something to be desired during their regular season, they’ve shown nothing but major strokes of genius in the playoffs. They’re the only reason the Patriots are out. They’re also the reason the Ravens are out. Two teams that were heavily favored throughout the year to make it to the Super Bowl.

Going into Sunday’s game, the Titans are the underdogs (+265) as they’ve been with each matchup in the postseason. However, their win against the Ravens moved the Chiefs line from 10 to 7.5 so that was a small victory. The total is set at 53 even though Kansas City scored 51 points last Sunday when they beat the Houston Texans.

The Titans will have the skills of quarterback Ryan Tannehill coupled with the epic playing of running back Derrick Henry. Both of these men have done great things offensively for Tennessee and are the reason why the team has made it this far.

Henry is a force to be reckoned with and the Chiefs will have their chance. If they want to win, taking out Henry would be a good start.

As for Kansas City, although they are the favored team and have the better record, much of their game falls on the shoulders of their quarterback Patrick Mahomes. All the big plays and scoring for the Chiefs have stemmed from the hands of Mahomes. That’s a lot of pressure for one player but the star quarterback has shown that he can certainly handle it.

If the Titans defense can stop Mahomes, there would be no stopping them from moving on to the Super Bowl. This game will be one that will need the defense from each sideline to come in clutch to stop the terrific offensive athletes that both teams have in their arsenal. If not, viewers may see another match going over 80 points total.

The game will begin at 3:05 p.m. EST on Sunday. The CBS network will be televising the event. The Titans are expected to give viewers a good game to watch as they try and take down yet another team that has been favored by various sportsbooks to get to the Super Bowl since the season began.
