Betting On The Murrays Or Fieris In The Nacho Average Showdown

  • The Nacho Average Showdown can be watched on the Food Network’s Facebook page at 5 p.m. ET on Friday.
  • Bill Murray is the Underdog in the Nacho Average Showdown with +225 odds against Guy Fieri (-350).
  • Murray’s son, Homer Murray, is favored (-150) to beat Fieri’s son Hunter (+110).

LOS ANGELES — Food Network star Guy Fieri and former Ghostbusters actor Bill Murray are partnering for a “Nacho Average Showdown” where all funds gathered will benefit Fieri’s Restaurant Employee Relief Fund (RERF) amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The showdown will also feature both sons Homer Murray and Hunter Fieri making nachos in their own showdown while actor Terry Crews and former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal will serve as virtual judges.

Nacho Average Showdown Winner:

  • Homer Murray -150
  • Hunter Fieri +110

Winner: Homer Murray (-150).

Guy Fieri won’t be the only chef taking part in the cookout as Homer Murray is also a chef. This gives him a slight edge over Hunter Fieri in this cooking showdown.

Hunter’s +110 odds at online betting sites might be worth the dice roll simply because his dad is Guy Fieri. However, the best bet for this prop is on Homer Murray and his -150 odds.

Nacho Average Showdown Winner:

  • Guy Fieri -350
  • Bill Murray +225

Winner: Guy Fieri (-350).

Guy Fieri has worked in a restaurant for most of his life and unless Bill Murray has some secret nacho recipe we’ve never seen before he’ll likely lose this battle.

Take the -350 odds on Fieri winning the cook-off over the Caddyshack star.

The Nacho cook-off should be one of the most-watched events on Facebook and that popularity along with a lack of mainstream sports bets has led to sportsbooks posting odds on the Nacho Average Showdown.

When betting on entertainment odds, the focus on who will be winning the cook-off should be not only on the food but the humor and ancillary wor behind the scenes.

Between the charismatic nature of Bill Murray and Guy Fieri as well as the experience of Hunter Fieri and Homer Murray, the Nacho Average Showdown is shaping up to be a nice addition to a sporting-less world.

Presented by Tostitos, it will be streamed live on the Food Networks Facebook page Friday at 5 p.m. ET.
