Could Mark Cuban Make A Run For The White House?

  • Mark Cuban has +500 odds to run for President in the 2020 Election.
  • Donald Trump is the current favorite to win the 2020 Presidential Election.
  • Cuban has joined the President’s council to create ways to open back up the economy.

DALLASEntrepreneur and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has recently been very vocal about the shortcomings of the Trump administration amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Despite recently joining the President’s Council on reopening the economy, Cuban is adamant that helping the country right now is paramount no matter his differences in policies with President Trump.

“All I care about is helping the country do the right thing," said Cuban. "If I disagree with him over a thousand things, but then he asks me to help this country then the answer would be, 'Hell yes.’”

Cuban is not the only sports team owner that was tapped to be on the council as New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones are also on the council as well. However, Cuban has used his platform to help small businesses that have had problems with Paycheck Protection Program loans.

Cuban being so politically active has many wondering if he will run for President in the November Election. Earlier this month on FOX News Sunday with Chris Wallace, Cuban was asked if he was considering running for President this fall.

“I never would have considered it prior to a month ago, but now things are changing rapidly and dramatically," said Cuban. "I'm not saying no, but it's not something I'm actively pursuing. I'm just keeping the door open. ... You just don't know what can happen between now and November.”

Although most states have already had their Presidential primaries, Cuban making a late bid isn’t totally out of the picture and he does have the platform to challenge President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden in November. President Trump is the current favorite at sportsbooks to win the 2020 Election over Biden but if Cuban throws himself into the fold this could cause a major shift in the odds.

Bettors might want to take advantage of the political odds available on Cuban running for President or not.

Mark Cuban to run in the 2020 Election:

  • No -900
  • Yes +500

Winner: Yes (+500). Cuban has been very active amid the coronavirus pandemic politically and him entering the race for the White House can’t be ruled out. The +500 odds for Cuban to run in the 2020 Election are worth the dice roll plus the odds give bettors a moderate return. As we get closer to the election, the +500 odds at online sportsbooks could become shorter which shows that this is probably the best time to place a bet, especially if Cuban decides to explore what a Presidential campaign could mean for him.

Cuban running for President isn’t out of the realm of possibilities especially considering today's political climate. If Cuban is serious about making a Presidential bid, he’ll have to announce his decision sooner rather than later. But either way, he does feel like politics needs some change.
