LAS VEGAS - Welcome to this Saturday edition of the Daily Sports Betting Preview.

In the NFL, Wild Card Weekend brings three Saturday games to the betting slate. Meanwhile, in the Bundesliga, RB Leipzig takes on Borussia Dortmund.

There’s a lot to cover, so let’s get started!

NFL Wild Card Weekend Betting

The NFL’s Wild Card Weekend features three games, and each of them presents a solid betting opportunity.

The first game of the day features the Indianapolis Colts going up against the Buffalo Bills, at 1:05 p.m. EST

Indianapolis Colts vs. Buffalo Bills

  • Indianapolis Colts +6.5
  • Buffalo Bills -6.5

The Colts are underdogs by a bit under a touchdown on the spread, and the line is currently exactly where it opened on the major sportsbooks.

This game has seen some mild fluctuations in the line between Bills -6.5 and Bills -7, so if one wanted to wager on the Bills, they’d try to get in on -6.5, while if one wanted to wager on the Colts, they’d look for Colts +7.

The Bills are the second seed in the AFC, and they have been on a tear recently, demolishing Miami in Week 17. They have an explosive offense helmed by Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs, and a defense that seems to be peaking at the right time.

The Colts have a legitimate Super Bowl defense but they have serious problems on offense, where Phillip Rivers might find himself outmatched by Allen.

LA Rams Vs. Seattle Seahawks - 4:40 p.m. EST.

This is a divisional matchup, meaning these teams have already played each other twice this season.

The two teams each won a game in the season series and looks to be a competitive one for all the marbles.

LA Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks

  • LA Rams +3.5
  • Seattle Seahawks -3.5

The Rams are 3.5-point underdogs on the road to the Seahawks, which is more or less an indication that the oddsmakers think this matchup is about even, and are giving deference to Seattle as the home team.

Or, it would be in a normal year. However, there is some question as to whether or not home-field advantage even exists in the COVID-19 hampered NFL season.

In the last 16 meetings between these two teams, the home team has covered the spread 11 times, while the road team has only covered five times.

Washington Football Team Vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 8:15 p.m. EST

The Washington Football Team is inarguably the worst team in the playoffs, and yet they host a home game because of the NFL’s arcane divisional rules.

The Football Team won seven games this season and became only the third team to make the playoffs with a losing record.

Fun fact: two of the three teams that have made the playoffs with a losing record were coached by Ron Rivera.

Tampa Bay enters this road matchup as a favorite by more than a touchdown, as the Buccaneers look to have gotten an easy first-round matchup.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Washington Football Team

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers -8.0
  • Washington Football Team +8.0

The Football Team enters this playoff matchup riding an ATS losing streak in this position - in their last five playoff games, they have not covered the spread once.

The Bucs, meanwhile, have covered the spread in four of their last five games, and have a 9-7 ATS record on the season. Despite all of this, the spread only separates these teams by eight points, and in fact has moved a bit in Washington’s favor.

The spread opened at Tampa Bay -8.5, and it is now at Tampa Bay -8.0.

Betting on these NFL Wild Card games is going to be a major component of the day for many sports bettors.

Bundesliga Betting

In the Bundesliga, nearly everything revolves around Bayern Munich. They have dominated the league for an incredible span, and have won the league every year since 2013.

The only other teams in the Bundesliga that are set to challenge Bayern on a game to game basis are RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund. Right now, Leipzig is second in the Bundesliga, and Dortmund is fourth.

These two teams face off in a hotly contested matchup that sees Leipzig as a mild favorite.

RB Leipzig vs. Borussia Dortmund

  • RB Leipzig +130
  • Borussia Dortmund +210
  • Draw +255

The odds for a draw are fairly short in this matchup, reflecting the perception that the two teams are relatively evenly matched.

The no draw moneyline makes the gap between them a bit more clear.

RB Leipzig vs. Borussia Dortmund

  • RB Leipzig -160
  • Borussia Dortmund +115

In a matchup this close, it might be a good idea to take a long hard look at the no draw moneyline.

Betting on the Bundesliga is always tough, but this matchup is one of the toughest to handicap.
