First on the slate is a look at some college basketball betting as SDSU takes on Arizona State. Then, along similar lines, the Preview takes a look at the Euroleague for more basketball action.

Finally, the Europa League brings an interesting soccer match to the table as Napoli takes on Real Sociedad.

There’s a lot to cover, so let’s get started!

NCAA Basketball Betting

Two teams ranked in the Top 25 of college basketball face off Thursday at 10:00 p.m. EST as SDSU battles Arizona State.

San Diego State University is ranked 24 in the nation and enters this matchup with a perfect 4-0 record.

Arizona State, meanwhile, have a 3-1 record entering this matchup, and are ranked one slot ahead of SDSU at 23.

In other words, this should be a close, hard fought game.

SDSU vs. Arizona State

  • SDSU +140
  • Arizona State -160

The odds reflect this matchup’s closeness, with Arizona State being favored fairly marginally, although noticeably.

SDSU vs. Arizona State

  • SDSU +3.0 (-115)
  • Arizona State -3.0 (-105)

On the spread, the teams are separated by three points, with a bit of shading towards SDSU +3.0.

Basically, there’s only one possession separating these two teams, with the shading suggesting that might even overstate the gap.

The O/U line for points in this matchup is set at 143 points, with an even -110 on both the Over and the Under.

In SDSU’s last 15 games as an underdog, the Under is 12-3. However, in Arizona State’s last 12 games, the Over is 9-3.

Which of these trends will prevail in the end?  College basketball bettors have a tough job in front of them with this matchup.

Euroleague Betting

The Euroleague brings some solid basketball action to the table with multiple interesting matchups.

This column will take a look at two of today’s best matchups: Fenerbahce vs. ALBA Berlin and Anadolu Efes vs. Valencia.

Fenerbachce vs. Alba Berlin

  • Fenerbahce -315
  • Alba Berlin +245

Turkish basketball powerhouse Fenerbache is a notable favorite in a matchup against ALBA Berlin. Fenerbahche’s -315 odds mark them as a legitimately dominant team in the matchup.

However, in the Euroleague this year, not much separates the two teams. Fenerbahce have a 5-7 record, while ALBA are 4-7.

In other words, a victory by the German squad would see them vault past Fenerbahce in the standings.

However, the point differential tells a bit of a different story. Over their 12 Euroleague games, Fenerbahce have a -49 point differential.

ALBA, meanwhile, sits at -79 over the course of their 11 games. This gives them the second worst point differential in the Euroleague.

Anadolu Efes vs. Valencia

  • Anadolu Efes -140
  • Valencia +115

Anadolu Efes enters a tough matchup with Valencia as a mild favorite, both in terms of odds and standings. Anadolu Efes sit at seventh in the Euroleague, while Valencia are eighth, making this one of the closest matchups on the board today.

Both teams are 7-5 over the course of Euroleague play, although Valencia are are +7 in point differential while Anadolu Efes are +24.

Basically, the odds seem to suggest that Anadolu Efes are very slight favorites.

The spread sits at Anadolu Efes -2.5, which goes along with this supposition. Euroleague bettors have a very close game ahead of them.

This matchup starts at 3:00 p.m. EST.

Europa League

From European basketball, the Preview now turns to European soccer as Napoli takes on Real Sociedad.

Napoli vs. Real Sociedad

  • Napoli -105
  • Real Sociedad +285
  • Draw +255

Napoli are currently third in Serie A, with a record of seven wins, zero draws and three losses, only behind AC Milan and Inter Milan.

Real Sociedad are having a great season domestically, sitting at second place in La Liga with a 7-4-1 record.

Despite Sociedad’s great start, Napoli are still favored in the matchup.

Napoli vs. Real Sociedad - No Draw

  • Napoli -235
  • Real Sociedad +175

The No Draw moneyline isn’t particularly cruel to Real Sociedad’s chances in this matchup, giving them fairly solid underdog’s odds at +175.

Interestingly, however, the spread for this matchup is set at Napoli -0.5.

Napoli vs. Real Sociedad

  • Napoli -0.5 (-105)
  • Real Sociedad +0.5 (-115)

The odds here directly reflect the three way moneyline - Napoli -0.5 is the same as taking Napoli on the three way, and both are set at -105.

Sociedad +0.5 is like taking both Sociedad and Draw on the three way moneyline, and is set at -115.

Soccer bettors have some interesting choices in front of them with this matchup.

Happy betting!
