LAS VEGAS - Welcome to the Daily Sports Betting Preview - Monday edition!

Today’s Preview kicks off with a look at the matchup between Oklahoma and Texas Tech in college basketball.

Then, in La Liga, Real Betis takes on Osasuna. Finally, the Boston Bruins battle the Washington Capitals in some solid NHL action.

There’s a lot to cover, so let’s get started!

NCAA Basketball Betting

Texas Tech and Oklahoma are both highly ranked teams, which means this matchup will have a lot of eyes on it. Texas Tech enters this matchup as the tenth ranked team in the nation, while Oklahoma clocks in at 24th.

Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech

  • Oklahoma +7.0 (-110)
  • Texas Tech -7.0 (-110)

Oklahoma’s record is 11-4 for the season, but they’re on the road for this matchup, where they are only 2-3 straight up. Against the spread, Oklahoma has excelled, at 10-5, but once again their road record falls short at 2-3 ATS.

Texas Tech, being the higher ranked team and also being at home, opened as a five point favorite in this matchup. Over the course of time, they’ve moved from being a five point favorite to being a seven-point favorite.

Oklahoma enters this game on a big time hot streak - they’re 8-2 against the spread in their last ten games including a 6-0 ATS streak entering this game.

They’ve performed well as underdogs as well this season, with a 4-0 ATS record in their last four games as such. Texas Tech has a 7-10 ATS record overall, but nine of those ATS losses have come in their last 12 games.

In addition, the Red Raiders haven’t covered the spread in their last seven home games.

Oklahoma looks like a possibly underrated play for college basketball betting enthusiasts in this compelling matchup.

La Liga Betting

La Liga plays host to a solid matchup between Real Betis and Osasuna that should have soccer bettors excited. Osasuna is just outside of the relegation zone in La Liga at 17th, and they’re tied on points with Alaves at 18th.

In other words, for Osasuna, every game is important, and every losing matchup they can scrape out a draw in really matters.

Real Betis is currently in 8th place in La Liga, well clear of Osasuna, although their -8 goal differential should give bettors some pause.

Real Betis vs. Osasuna - Three Way ML

  • Real Betis -115
  • Osasuna +335
  • Draw +260

Real Betis are unsurprisingly favored, but the degree to which they are favored could be interesting. On the three way moneyline, they’re -115 favorites, which makes them odds on favorites over the possibility of a draw or Osasuna victory.

Real Betis vs. Osasuna - No Draw ML

  • Real Betis -300
  • Osasuna +210

The no draw moneyline sees Betis as a -300 favorite, which is a fairly prohibitive line for a team that has a -8 goal differential in league play.

Real Betis’ eighth place designation is a bit of a trap. They have 8 more points in the league than Osasuna, and have lost more games than they’ve won. Osasuna is a bad team, make no mistake about that, but Betis is not so much a dominating favorite in this matchup as they are expected to win because of the poor quality of their competition.

Soccer betting enthusiasts could simply take Betis on the three way moneyline to play it safe, as Osasuna has scraped out seven draws this season already, or they could go for the better payout on the three way moneyline.

NHL Betting

Two of the NHL’s elite face off tonight as the Boston Bruins take on the Washington Capitals.

The Bruins enter this matchup with a record of 5-1-2-0, which is good for third place in the NHL’s Eastern Division.

The Caps, meanwhile, are leading the Eastern Division at 6-0-1-2, and boast an incredible 8-1 record against the puck line this season.

Boston Bruins vs. Washington Capitals

  • Boston Bruins -145
  • Washington Capitals +125

The Caps seem to be regarded as overperforming by the sportsbooks, which can be seen in their 8-1 puck line record so far. They’re home underdogs to a team with a worse record than them, a team that they just beat two days ago.

It’s hard to ignore that they have all the momentum right now, and their incredible performance so far this season has demonstrated a level of quality many are unsure will be sustainable.

Boston Bruins vs. Washington Capitals Puck Line

  • Boston Bruins -1.5 (+170)
  • Washington Capitals +1.5 (-200)

The Caps once again get a chance at a positive puck line as their home underdog status could work towards continuing their amazing streak against the puck line.

They’re 8-1 on the puck line this season, while Boston is 2-6, which demonstrates to a degree what many hockey betting enthusiasts already knew:

Boston is underperforming, and Washington is overperforming. Whether or not that trend continues is up for debate, and tonight should go a long way towards answering some lingering questions.

If Washington takes a win here, it seems unlikely that they’ll be in a position to be unfavored against Boston again.

Good luck!
