LAS VEGAS - Welcome to the Daily Sports Betting Preview on this fine Wednesday!

Today’s Preview kicks off with a look at the World Cup Qualifier match between France and Ukraine. Then, the WGC Dell Match Play features several intriguing group golf betting odds. Finally, two elite NBA teams face off as the Brooklyn Nets take on the Utah Jazz.

There’s a lot to cover, so let’s get started!

Soccer Betting

The 2022 World Cup is approaching, which means World Cup Qualifiers are back on the menu.

World Cup Qualifiers are a great chance for soccer betting fans to get prepared for World Cup betting. Today’s featured World Cup Qualifier pits France against Ukraine, and to nobody’s surprise the French are favored in the matchup.

France vs. Ukraine Three Way Moneyline

  • France -385
  • Ukraine +1000
  • Draw +450

Since 2000, these teams have met eight times, and France has won the matchup six of those eight times. The remaining two games involved one draw, and one Ukraine win.

France vs. Ukraine No Draw Moneyline

  • France -1400
  • Ukraine +650

For bettors who wish to hedge a bit against the possibility of a draw, but still wager on one of the teams straight up, the no draw moneyline provides this utility.

France is a much larger favorite on the no-draw moneyline than they are on the three-way moneyline, which is intriguing given that a draw only has +450 odds on the three-way.

This could demonstrate that the no draw moneyline might be bad value for anyone who wishes to wager on France in this matchup.

France vs. Ukraine Spread

  • France -1.5 (-110)
  • Ukraine +1.5 (-110)

The spread for this matchup favors the French by 1.5 goals, a significant spread that they can cover with the goal-scoring prowess of Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe.

This matchup should be compelling, but the online sportsbooks definitely expect the reigning World Cup champions to come out on top.

Golf Betting

The WGC Dell Match Play event allows for a lot of fun golf betting opportunities for those who enjoy golf wagering.

With so many talented golfers participating, the group betting is off the charts, with great groups for golf betting enthusiasts to bet on.

Group 10 Odds - B. Harman / C. Ortiz / H. Matsuyama / P. Cantlay

  • Patrick Cantlay +125
  • Hideki Matsuyama +260
  • Brian Harman +300
  • Carlos Ortiz +450

Hideki Matsuyama is one of two well-known golfers in this group, but it’s his fellow big-name Patrick Cantlay that leads the odds boards for it.

Cantlay is one of the best golfers in the world and sits atop these odds as nearly a favorite over the field.

Also in the group are Brian Harman and Carlos Ortiz, who sit behind Matsuyama, and it should be noted that Matsuyama is closer to them than he is to Cantlay, who is the clear favorite.

Group 13 Odds - A. Ancer / B. Wiesberger / K. Streelman / V. Hovland

  • Viktor Hovland +125
  • Abraham Ancer +200
  • Kevin Streelman +400
  • Bernd Wiesberger +450

Group 13 takes on a similar construction, with one big-name player - in this case Viktor Hovland - sitting as a near-odds on favorite.

Behind Hovland are Abraham Ancer, Kevin Streelman, and Bernd Weisberger, the remaining members of the group.

It’s worth noting that Ancer is actually closer to Hovland’s odds in Group 13 than Matsuyama is to Cantlay’s odds in Group 10. This is, in part, a testament to how well known and how good Cantlay is, and it should be taken into account by golf bettors wagering on this event.

NBA Betting

The Utah Jazz have been scorching hot this season, with a record of 31-11, while the Nets have also been dangerous, and now sit at 30-14.

However, any basketball betting fan expecting a showdown of titans should look elsewhere, as injuries have ravaged the Nets. The Nets will enter this game without either Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving, leaving James Harden alone as a star on the court.

For this reason, the sportsbooks opened the line on this matchup with the Jazz being favored by 6.5 points.

The NBA betting public, however, has moved it significantly - it now sits far beyond that.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Utah Jazz Spread

  • Brooklyn Nets +10.0 (-110)
  • Utah Jazz -10.0 (-110)

A ten-point spread is pretty amazing considering that the Nets will still be deploying James Harden, arguably an MVP candidate.

Harden has been an offense unto himself in recent years in Houston, and could potentially be something similar with this injured Nets team on his back. That said, the Nets are star-power reliant, and 2/3rds of that star power isn’t playing - it’s not a surprise for them to be underdogs, but the degree might be surprising.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Utah Jazz Moneyline

  • Brooklyn Nets +410
  • Utah Jazz -620

Of course, it would be disrespectful to the Jazz to put this all on the Nets’ injury woes.

The Jazz have been one of the very best teams in basketball over the course of the season, although they seem to be coming back to earth.

After a ridiculous 26-6 start, the Jazz have gone 5-5 in their last ten games.

Their breakneck pace was likely unsustainable, but they will need to prove that it is who they are, and that they can be that team when it’s needed. For now, they’ll have to settle for being favored over the injured Nets.

Good luck!
