COVENTRY, U.K. – The Daily Sports Betting Preview is back and better than ever.

Today’s edition of the preview starts with the Snooker Championship league, which has all of the betting action and opportunities anyone could want.

After that, the preview examines NHL hockey, as the Philadelphia Flyers battle the Washington Capitals. Finally, the preview looks at the ESEA Premier Division competition for some Counter Strike: Global Offensive action.

Snooker Championship League Betting Preview

The Championship League is a group-based tournament run out of England, and the biggest appeal it has to sports bettors is the large amount of games that are played in it.

Matches on March 4, 2020, will run through the entire early portion of the day and the latest starting match begins around 2:00 p.m. EST, so it is important to be on the ball with any bets placed.

Perhaps the most anticipated players in the tournament are playing today – although not against each other.

Neil Robertson and Judd Trump are two of the greatest snooker players in the world, and both have multiple matches today.

Trump’s battle with Anthony McGill is perhaps the most worthy of being highlighted here.

Trump enters the bout as a heavy -375 favorite over McGill, who is +300. This is the largest favorite of any of the remaining games in this group, by a fairly significant margin – the next closest is the March 5 clash between Neil Robertson and Scott Donaldson, wherein Robertson is -315 to win.

Back to Trump and McGill, the over/under is set at four, with some shading towards the under, which is -125, while the over is -115.

Philadelphia Flyers vs. Washington Capitals Betting Preview

Two teams with very similar records on the surface face off in Washington D.C. today, as the Philadelphia Flyers visit the Washington Capitals.

The Capitals are -150 favorites on the moneyline, while the Flyers are +130. On the puck line, Flyers +1.5 is -175, while Capitals -1.5 is +155.

The Flyers have a record of 38-20-7, while the Capitals have a record of 40-19-6. On the surface, these records are very similar, but the home/road splits could prove revealing for this game of ostensibly evenly matched teams.

The Flyers are 15-15-3 on the road, a far cry from their overall record, while the Capitals are 18-9-5 at home, which is much more representative of their overall performance. This is something NHL bettors should take note of.

In other words, the Capitals perform about as expected in terms of winning games regardless of whether those games are played home or away. The Flyers, on the other hand, appear to get noticeably worse when they play on the road – they’ve only lost five games at home this entire season.

One place the Flyers might be able to take solace is on the puck line, however, where they’ve enjoyed tremendous success this season, with a 40-25 record on the puck line, although that record is only 17-16 on the road.

The Capitals, by contrast, have been fairly average on the puck line – 32-33 – overall, but pretty bad at home, with an abominable 11-21 record on the puck line at home.

There are a lot of factors to keep in mind in a matchup like this, but the numbers certainly seem to paint a compelling picture.

ESEA Premier Division Betting Preview

For fans of esports, as well as fans of betting on several games over the course of a day, the ESEA Premier League brings excellent Counter Strike: Global Offensive gameplay as well as many esports betting opportunities.

There are eight matches of CS:GO to be played in the Premier League today, so the preview will run through each of them briefly.

First, Wisla Krakow are favored over Unicorns of Love, with -190 odds to UoL’s +135. Pact are very slight underdogs to Jalapeno, in a match with an interesting line: Pact -115, Jalapeno -120.

Singularity Esports are massive favorites over Illuminar Gaming, with -475 odds to win compared to Illuminar’s +300. Team Spirit and Sprout look slated for a close match, with Spirit’s -110 odds slightly trailing Sprout’s -125.

Ago Gaming are favored over Pact, by -200 to +145. Spirit are notable favorites over Jalapeno, with -280 odds to win the match compared to Jalapeno’s +200.

Wisla Krakow returns to battle Singularity Esports, and while the match is slated to be closer than Singularity’s first, the sportsbooks don’t think Krakow can match them: Krakow +160, Singularity -220.

In the final match of the day, Swole Identity battles Triumph Gaming, and the odds suggest them coming up short, with Triumph favored by -205 to Swole Identity’s +150.
