LAS VEGAS – Today is another day with plenty of betting opportunities. We’ll take a look at a couple of games throughout a handful of leagues.

We’ll touch on the NBA play-in game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors and follow up with game two of the Carolina Hurricanes vs Nashville Predators series. Finally, we’ll dive into the Seattle Mariners and Detroit Tigers game to close things out.

Let’s get right into it.

NBA Betting: Lakers vs Warriors

The Los Angeles Lakers will host the Golden State Warriors in a play-in game to decide the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference. The winner will meet the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs. The Lakers enter the game as the biggest favorite of any play-in matchup.

Golden State Warriors vs Los Angeles Lakers Betting Odds

  • Moneyline: LAL -225, GSW +185
  • Spread: LAL -5.5
  • Total: O/U 218.5

Both teams enter the game on a winning streak, with LA taking five straight and the Warriors have won six in a row. The Lakers are finally at full strength and therefore are the heavy favorites. However, given the way the Warriors have been playing, it might be worth betting on the Warriors +5.5.

Golden State has won 15 of their last 20 and of those five losses, three were within six points. The Lakers are clearly the better team at full strength, but NBA bettors can’t help but to think that Steph Curry will lead this to be a close game.

The game will be aired on ESPN with tip-off scheduled for 10 p.m. EST.

NHL Betting: Predators vs Hurricanes

The Carolina Hurricanes took home game one by a score of 5-2 and are -190 favorites to take a 2-0 lead in the series over the Nashville Predators. NHL bettors may want to side with the total of the game rather than picking a winner.

Nashville Predators vs Carolina Hurricanes Total

  • Over 5.5 +120
  • Under 5.5 -140

The Preds have scored at least two goals in 10 of their last 11 games, netting four or more goals in six of those games as well. Even with those kinds of stats, the Predators are considered the lesser team in this matchup.

The Over may have too much value to pass up on especially when you consider the possibility for empty-net goals late in the game.

Coverage of the game will be aired on CNBC with puck-drop scheduled for 8 p.m. EST.

MLB Betting: Mariners vs Tigers

The Seattle Mariners are mild favorites to beat the Detroit Tigers despite getting no-hit last night by Spencer Turnbull. The Tigers have taken the first two games of the series by a combined score of 9-1 and will look to complete the sweep tonight.

Mariners Tigers Moneyline Odds

  • Seattle Mariners -145
  • Detroit Tigers +125

Online sportsbooks may be undervaluing the Tigers’ momentum moving into this game. The Mariners are probably favored because of Tarik Skubal being the pitcher for Detroit (0-6, 5.73 ERA, 1.58 WHIP), but the Mariners have the lowest batting average against left-handed pitchers this season.

Given all the factors, the value of betting on the Tigers moneyline seems a little too enticing to pass up on.

The game will start at 10:10 p.m. EST and will be broadcasted on MLB.TV, MLB Extra Innings and Bally Sports Detroit.

As always, Godspeed, bettors.
