The Memphis Tigers

Memphis is going into the new season with one thing in mind and that is making a deep run for the National Championship. They have the number one recruiting class in the nation that includes two five-star recruits in Emoni Bates and Jalen Duren. And both were top five prospects in the 2021 class.

They also have two four-stare prospects coming in along with notable transfers in Earl Timberlake from Miami, Tyler Harris from Iowa State, and Chandler Lawson from Oregon.

Penny Hardaway has been an impressive coach for the team since 2018. He has a record of 63-32 with the program and has led them to an NIT Tournament Championship. Now they are ranked the number seven team in the country before the season even starts. They could look to make a much bigger run with plenty of new talent.

The Florida State Seminoles

FSU has been a team on the rise in recent seasons and the 2021 season is shaping up to be one of their best. They finished the recruiting process with the eighth-best recruiting class in the nation with five-star prospect Matt Cleveland and highly touted four-stars Jalen Warley and John Butler. The Seminoles were also busy in the transfer portal as they brought in Caleb Mills from Houston and Cam’Ron Fletcher from Kentucky.

If there is one thing to know about this Seminoles team, it is that Leonard Hamilton uses his team to its fullest as he plays a 12-man rotation. He is expected to use that same gameplan in this one with plenty of returning key players such as Anthony Polite and Malik Osborne, who are both in the starting lineup.

FSU has made it to the Elite 8 in their last two seasons and has the capable talent to make it even further to move their way back up to the top for college basketball odds.

The Baylor Bears

Even though Baylor lost the majority of their key players to the NBA Draft, they are still the defending National Champions and should be treated as such. They did a solid job in the recruiting field with a top-15 class coming in and also have some key returning players in Flo Thamba and Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua.

At +2000 odds, they should be taken before their odds potentially shift any shorter considering the amount of experience that their upperclassmen have over the rest of the country.
