Nats Swarm Houston Astros With 2-0 Lead In World Series

  • It has been 20 years since a team has won two games on the road for the World Series and that team back then was the New York Yankees.
  • The Washington Nationals have now accomplished the same thing as they head into Game 3.
  • Sportsbooks have the Nationals winning the Series in four games with +300 odds.

HOUSTON – The Washington Nationals lead the World Series against the Houston Astros 2-0. Games 1 and 2 took place in Houston’s territory. The middle of the series will take place on Washington’s home turf, which gives them the home-field advantage.

There is no stopping the Washington Nationals, as the team seems hungry for their first World Series trophy. However, the Astros still believe that they can come back after being down two games.

"We lost two games before during the regular season. Everyone in here knows how to bounce back," said Houston third basemen Alex Bregman. "Lot of baseball left in this series. We're going to go to Washington with our heads held high. Ready to go and get after it. We've lost two games before. I remember when we lost three in New York and next thing you know we're in the World Series in '17. We've been here before."

But there is no denying the Nationals chemistry on the field. Game 2 gave them a win of 12-3, slaughtering the Astros at Minute Maid Park.

One person that is really hoping for an Astros comeback is furniture salesman Jim McIngvale, better known as “Mattress Mack”. Despite the Houston Astros being down, he has placed an additional million dollars on them to win the Series for a total of $10 million in wagers.

“Off to Mississippi with “Mattress Mack” to place a quick $1M bet, then we fly back to Houston for Game 2,” tweeted Darren Rovell.
