NBA Trade Odds: Bradley Beal And Kyle Lowry

  • The NBA Trade Deadline is on March 25th, 2021.
  • Bradley Beal has +500 odds to be traded from the Washington Wizards.
  • Kyle Lowry has +200 odds to be traded from the Toronto Raptors.

LAS VEGAS - The NBA’s shortened season is well underway, and teams are looking to change up their chemistry.

One blockbuster trade already sent James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets to join up with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, and more could be in the works.

The sportsbooks already have odds on who the most likely NBA trade targets are, so let’s check them out.

Bradley Beal Trade Odds

Bradley Beal is an obvious trade candidate in that he is an elite player (leading the NBA in points per game) stuck on a very bad team (the Wizards are 6-16), and he could likely force a trade if push came to shove.

Similarly, the Washington Wizards are incentivized to get assets for him, as he will be an unrestricted free agent in 2023, with a player option in 2022.

This means that his trade value will decrease from now as his contract gets shorter and shorter.

That said, it doesn’t seem like Beal is likely to be traded at this point in time.

Will Bradley Beal Be Traded Before Deadline?

  • Yes +500
  • No -900

Beal’s +500 odds for yes come as something of a surprise for a player who has been constantly in trade talks for years now.

Beal’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, said that Beal is committed to the Wizards, and doesn’t want to quit on the team.

“He doesn’t want to quit on something,” said Bartelstein. “He’s an incredibly loyal guy, and he wants to always feel like he’s done everything he can to help something or someone be successful. It’s the way he was raised and what his values are based upon.”

In other words, Beal could try to force the Wizards to trade him, but he doesn’t want to do it. It seems like he might be staying put unless a godfather offer comes in.

Kyle Lowry Trade Odds

Kyle Lowry was the heart of an NBA Championship team in 2019, and has been an elite point guard for years now.

This year, he’s taken a step back as Fred Van Vleet ascended to a starring role in Toronto, and suddenly is looking his age, and lacking opportunity.

Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer reported that some among Toronto’s front office personnel think that it’s time to let Lowry go and recoup what assets they can.

Will Kyle Lowry Be Traded Before Deadline?

  • Yes +200
  • No -300

Lowry has far better odds to be traded than Beal, and seems to be one of the more likely trade candidates.

The trade deadline is on March 25, so a lot could change in that amount of time, but right now, Van Vleet is the dominant PG in Toronto.

Lowry is a free agent after this season, and the Raptors might want to move on at that time anyway. If that’s in the cards, getting value out of him now is a great play.

Kyle Lowry Next Team Odds

  • Cleveland Cavaliers +250
  • New Orleans Pelicans +350
  • Los Angeles Clippers +500
  • Dallas Mavericks +550
  • San Antonio Spurs +800
  • Miami Heat +800
  • Philadelphia 76ers +900
  • Denver Nuggets +1000

Some sportsbooks have odds on what his next team will be if he does get traded. Note that these odds will be graded no action if he does not get traded.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are the favorite to end up with Lowry at +250 odds, as a team that could be in need of some veteran leadership.

That said, the Cavs aren’t really going anywhere, at 10-17, and spending resources to acquire an aging player who is a free agent after this season is not an ideal rebuilding plan.

The New Orleans Pelicans are an intriguing destination for Lowry, as they could pair him with their young stars in Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson, and trust that Lowry could maximize their talents.

The LA Clippers are an obvious destination in that they are in win-now mode and they could use veteran help without much long-term commitment. They sit at +500 odds.

Below that are plenty of other teams, from the Dallas Mavericks to the Denver Nuggets, that could all be in contention for Lowry’s services.

That said, according to the sportsbooks, the most likely outcome is Lowry remaining with the Raptors.

NBA betting enthusiasts have a ton of options for wagering on NBA trades before the deadline hits.

Good luck!
