NFL Draft Odds: Books Undecided on Receivers Lamb and Jefferson

  • CeeDee Lamb sees -220 odds that he is drafted before the 13th pick.
  • Justin Jefferson the strong favorite to go to the Philadelphia Eagles at +150

LAS VEGAS - As the NFL Draft looms on the horizon, player draft odds are experiencing some major fluctuation. As teams scramble to finalize their big boards and plan any last-minute moves, the players are forced to just sit back and wait to see which franchise calls their name.

Two of those players are Oklahoma receiver CeeDee Lamb and LSU receiver Justin Jefferson.

Beginning with Lamb, most mock drafts have the speedster as the second receiver chosen after Alabama Crimson Tide’s Jerry Jeudy. However, oddsmakers aren’t in complete agreement, giving Lamb equal odds to be the first wideout off the board.

First Wide Receiver Drafted:

  • Jerry Jeudy -110
  • CeeDee Lamb -110
  • Henry Ruggs +325
  • Justin Jefferson +5500
  • Tee Higgins +15000

While Jeudy is projected to be the more valuable pass-catcher, Vegas might know something that the average consumer does not. These are just a taste of the NFL Draft odds that online sportsbooks are offering.

Either way do not expect Lamb to slip far, as his draft line sits at 12.5, with the under as the favorite.

CeeDee Lamb Draft Position:

  • Over 12.5 +155
  • Under 12.5 -220

Lamb also leads odds to be the first choice of the New York Jets. Odds that started as high as +400, but are now creeping back towards even as the draft approaches.

  • CeeDee Lamb +325
  • Mekhi Becton +400
  • Jerry Jeudy +425
  • Andrew Thomas +425
  • Henry Ruggs III +800

Once the trio of Jeudy, Lamb, and Henry Ruggs III has left the board, Justin Jefferson is the favorite to be the next receiver chosen. He’ll be joining a platoon of LSU Tigers that are entering this year’s NFL Draft. Jefferson also saw his stock rise heavily over the last month.

Originally seen as a fringe first-rounder, Jefferson impressed many by his combine performance and now sees his draft line sitting at 21.5.

Justin Jefferson Draft Position:

  • Over 21.5 +160
  • Under 21.5 -230

Sitting with that 21st pick is the Philadelphia Eagles, who find themselves in desperate need of outside pass-catchers. The Eagles top three players in receptions last year consisted of two tight ends and a running back. Not exactly what you want to see on the stat sheet.

First Pick – Philadelphia Eagles:

  • Justin Jefferson +150
  • Denzel Mims +450
  • CeeDee Lamb +700
  • Henry Ruggs III +750

Therefore, it makes sense why all of the available options for Philly’s first-round pick are receivers.

Surely there is much that can change before the draft opens, and even more while teams are on the clock. However, regardless of where they fall, expect this year’s crop of receivers to make noise in the league for a long time to come.
