HOUSTON – The Houston Texans have suffered two major losses in talent this week, with receiver Will Fuller V and cornerback Bradley Roby receiving six-game suspensions.
The duo has been found guilty of violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing substances reportedly without knowledge of doing so.
Interestingly enough, the Houston Texans are still just a three-point underdog to the Indianapolis Colts this weekend even after the news of the suspensions.
For context, the Colts are 7-4 and firmly in the playoff race while the Texans are 4-7 and recently fired their coach in Bill O’Brien.
This is the first matchup of the AFC South rivals this season, with the Colts getting the slight edge via the major online sportsbooks.

Fuller has dealt with injuries throughout his career, but had played every game in 2020. Fuller was playing on a fifth-year option and is entering free agency this offseason.
Meanwhile, Roby took to Twitter to air his grievances, stating that “A few months ago, I unknowingly used a product that was contaminated with a banned substance by the NFL. I recognize that it is my job to know, and be responsible for, everything I put in my body."
The tweet has since been deleted.
This news has NFL bettors wondering if they should take out a second mortgage to bet on the Colts this weekend. While the Colts did lose to the Titans this past week, there is no reason the team shouldn’t manhandle the Texans with these losses in personnel.

Without Roby, Houston is left with two true corners in Vernon Hargreaves and Phillip Gaines.
Phillip Rivers should have no problem picking apart the Houston secondary on Sunday, while the dominant Colts defense no longer has to worry about Deshaun Watson’s most effective target downfield.
Taking the Colts by three seems to be the best play before the bookies get wise to this news.
