  • Tyron Woodley is a -182 favorite in the headline match over Gilbert Burns in the May 30 UFC Fight Night.

LAS VEGAS - The city of Las Vegas has been approved to host two UFC and boxing events over the next two weeks.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission unanimously passed five motions to allow the plans. The motions permit the events to be held with no live audience and to allow both promotional companies to promote the event to be televised on ESPN and ESPN+.

Nevada and more specifically Las Vegas have taken a big hit for the COVID-19 shutdowns and the state's sports betting industry and UFC bettors are excited for the return of live sporting events to the area.

UFC President Dana White staged three events earlier this month in Jacksonville, Florida, and has fully supported the restart of UFC with the health protocols in place.

Along with the events, many live casino sportsbooks will be reopening for the public on June 4.

The UFC matches will be held at UFC Apex Arena on May 30 and June 6.
