JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With Week 8 of the NFL season in the rear-view mirror, there are plenty of value players to target heading into Week 9 of fantasy football. One way to determine the value of different players is through player prop odds.

Fantasy targets heading into Week 9 include Dan Arnold, Russell Gage, and Pat Freiermuth who are all coming off of significant weeks.

Dan Arnold, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars

Since being traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars from the Carolina Panthers, Arnold’s value has gone way up.

In three of the four games that Arnold has been with the Jags, he has seen 5+ targets. Since his arrival, he is fourth on the team in targets (25) and third in receiving yards (188).

In Week 8, online betting sites gave Arnold a 2.5 reception and 33.5 receiving totals. Arnold hit the Over in both as he went for 8 receptions on 10 targets for 68 receiving yards finishing the day with 14.8 fantasy points.

With Arnold already making a name for himself as one of the Jags top targets, he is worth the add at a thin tight end position.

He can be found in almost every league as he only has 4% ownership.

Russell Gage, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Russell Gage saw his fantasy value skyrocket overnight with the news that Calvin Ridley will be stepping away from football due to mental health issues. With that, Gage immediately saw his best game of the season in Week 8 posting 4 receptions for 67 yards and one touchdown for 16.7 points.

Gage also annihilated his NFL player props which were set at 3.5 receptions, 31.5 receiving yards, and 0.5 touchdowns.

All in all, Gage is now the WR1 for a pass-heavy Atlanta Falcons offense and should be picked up immediately. Gage is owned in just 15% of fantasy football leagues.

Pat Freiermuth, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers

Pat Freiermuth has emerged as one of Ben Roethlisberger’s favorite targets especially with Juju Smith-Schuster going down for the season with a dislocated shoulder.

In the two games that Smith-Schuster has been out already, Freiermuth has seen his two highest target totals of the season with seven targets in Weeks 6 and 7. In his last two games, Freiermuth went for 7 receptions, 58 yards, and 12.8 fantasy points and 4 receptions, 44 yards, and one touchdown for 14.4 points.

With his targets going way up, he should be added to rosters for the remainder of the season.
