What To Expect With The Launch Of Vermont Sports Betting

  • Vermont online sports betting will launch in January 2024.
  • Only three online sportsbooks will accept bets from Vermont.
  • There will be limits when betting on Vermont college sports.

MONTPELIER, Vt. – After Governor Phil Scott first attempted to regulate sports betting in Vermont, online sports betting is set to launch in the Green Mountain State in January of 2024. The sports betting market will launch with plans for online only and no plans for any retail sportsbooks to open anytime soon.

With that, only three online sportsbooks were permitted to offer their services to Vermont residents. The online betting sites that are set to open their doors are Fanatics, DraftKings, and FanDuel after they complied with the three-year, $550,000 license agreement.

Catalog Of Bets To Make In Vermont

Just before the launch of Vermont online sports betting, the Department of Liquor and Lottery, the regulators for sports betting in the state, released the full catalog of the sports that will have odds on them.

While there’ll be odds on all major sports across the world, some notable ones that aren’t offered in every state include Esports, darts, cricket, rugby, and other smaller market sports as well.
