  • The Milwaukee Bucks are 6-1 SU in their last seven games against the Boston Celtics.
  • The home team has lost every game in the World Series so far.
  • According to ESPN’s Basketball Power Index, the Utah Jazz have a 61.5% chance to win tonight.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Wednesday could turn out to be a busy day for bettors, as the slate of games provides some great betting opportunities.

The NBA provides us with two possible playoff matchups, the World Series reaches Game 7, and the NHL season is well underway. Let’s start with Game 7 of the World Series first, and then dive into everything else USA sportsbooks have on the 10/30/2019 betting slate:

Washington Nationals vs. Houston Astros (-1.5)

With the World Series tied at 3-3, Game 7 will be one of the most highly anticipated sporting events tonight. The Houston Astros (-132) are 1.5-run favorites to capture their second World Series title in three years over the Washington Nationals (+122).

The Nationals will send Max Scherzer (1-0, 3.06 ERA) to the mound, while the Astros will counter with their ace Zack Greinke (0-0, 1.93 ERA).

This game provides a premier pitching matchup and that explains why the O/U total for this game is at 7.5. If a totals bet is what you’re looking for in this game, keep in mind that the total has gone Over in four of the last six games in the World Series.

The Nationals have trailed in and won every series this postseason thus far. Getting a win in Game 7 would certainly give the Nationals a stellar case for having one of the best postseason runs by an underdog in MLB History.

The World Series will be broadcast by FOX with the first pitch set to take place at 8:08 p.m. ET

Milwaukee Bucks (-3) vs. Boston Celtics

The Milwaukee Bucks (-145) come into this game as 3-point favorites on the road to beat the Boston Celtics (+125). Reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo through three games this season has averaged nearly a triple-double with a stat line of 24.3 points per game, 13.3 rebounds, and nine assists.

The Celtics are still trying to assimilate new addition point guard Kemba Walker into their system and so far, the results have been good.

In this matchup featuring two high powered offenses, expect the 221.5 total to go Over. In eight of the last ten games the Bucks have faced the Celtics on the road, the total has gone Over.

Both teams have identical records on the season at 2-1 and this could be a glimpse at a potential Eastern Conference playoff matchup later in the season.

The Bucks led by Antetokounmpo can be expected to win and cover the spread tonight in Boston.

This game will be broadcasted by ESPN with tip-off scheduled at 7:30 p.m. ET

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Utah Jazz (-2.5)

The Utah Jazz (-145) are surprising 2.5-point favorites to beat the Los Angeles Clippers (+125) at home.

The Clippers have recently struggled playing against the Jazz on the road, as they have a 1-4 record SU in their last five meetings - but those games were without Kawhi Leonard being on the team.

The Clippers added Kawhi Leonard this offseason and he is expected to play tonight. With Paul George still recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, Kawhi has led the Clippers. Leonard has averaged 27 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 7.5 assists through four games this season and can be expected to guide the Clippers to a victory tonight. This means taking the Clippers as underdogs in this matchup could net a good profit at sportsbooks today.

We’ll also get to see two of the best defenses in the Western Conference square off, which means the 217 O/U total set for this game will likely go Under. Recent trends support this as the total has gone Under in seven of the Utah Jazz’s last seven games.

Both teams come into this matchup with 3-1 records and this will be the first time we get to see these teams play each other this season.

Tip-off for this game is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET, broadcasted by ESPN.

Chelsea FC (-1) vs. Manchester United FC

The English Carabao Cup in England is underway, and it brings us a classic British soccer rivalry to enjoy today as Chelsea FC (-110) takes on Manchester United FC (+290).

Chelsea is a one-goal favorite in this matchup, and they’ll be looking to avenge the 4-0 defeat handed to them by Manchester United in their Premier League opener. Since that game, Manchester United has struggled offensively, only scoring more than one goal in one other contest this season.

The Reds will be without their star forward Paul Pogba, who’s expected to be out until December with an ankle injury.

This should be a very close game as both English clubs are rebuilding and have embraced a youth movement.

This game can be streamed on ESPN+ and is set to begin at 4:05 p.m. ET

Edmonton Oilers vs. Columbus Blue Jackets (-1.5)

Wednesday’s slate of sports events even brings us some NHL action as the Edmonton Oilers (+125) hit the road to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets (-145).

Both of these teams have enjoyed a smooth start to their season, but the Oilers have struggled recently posting a 1-4 SU record in their last five games.

The Blue Jackets are 1.5-goal favorites in this matchup and will be tasked with trying to stop Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl. Draisaitl has 10 goals and 12 assists this season.

The Oilers might be able to pull off the upset here and the +125 odds make this one of the most enticing bets today.

The goal total for this game is set at six and in the eight of the last eleven meetings between these teams the total has gone Over.

The game is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET.
