FanDuel Group and fuboTV Enter Into Exclusive Partnership

  • The partnership will make the TV platform available only to NJ residents for now.
  • The base package for fuboTV is $54.99 per month, while their “Sports Plus” addition costs $8.99 per month.
  • This is the first deal of its kind between a gaming company and a virtual MVPD.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – On Thursday, FanDuel Group announced a partnership with fuboTV, making them the official sportsbook, online casino, daily fantasy, and horse racing partner of fuboTV.

Under the agreement, fuboTV will not be able to seek similar partnerships, as both parties have agreed to keep it exclusive.

A media buy was also signed, indicating that fuboTV can only advertise FanDuel products when referencing those gambling industries.

“FanDuel can enhance the live viewing experience by allowing cord-cutting sports fans to view the content that matters to them the most from their TV, phone, tablet or computer,” said one of FanDuel’s Vice Presidents, Adam Kaplan.

Being used as an extension to their streaming service, the network will only be accessible from New Jersey. Because FanDuel owns TVG and TVG2, fuboTV will be able to add those programs to their streaming options. TVG will be included in the standard membership while gaining access to TVG2 will require purchasing the “Sports Plus” addition.

More channels are expected to be announced in the upcoming weeks, but the partnership has agreed to expand these two channels first. They will mix coverage of sports betting and horse racing as well as adding in news about fantasy sports. TVG’s show “More Ways to Win” will also be included.

“By integrating our odds and data on fuboTV’s platform, we are truly changing the way people watch live sports,” said Kaplan.

As of now, USAOnlineSportsbooks.com has learned that betting will not be able to transfer directly from fuboTV into FanDuel’s Sportsbook. Betting information about soccer, horse racing, and cycling will be the guinea pigs of the partnership.

“Gaming and sports are natural complements, and fuboTV’s industry-leading product offerings will be further enriched with FanDuel’s innovative entertainment solutions," said Min Kim, fuboTV’s VP of Business Development.
