RBC Heritage: Big Money Prop Bets for Golf’s Second Week Back

  • Golf continues its return Thursday with the RBC Heritage from Hilton Head, SC featuring another stacked playing field.
  • Prop bets with the best value include Colin Morikawa (+250 odds) to finish in the Top 10.
  • Jim Furyk (+500 odds) to finish in the Top 20 offer an excellent risk vs. reward betting line.

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The world of golf turns its eyes to the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head, South Carolina this week as the sport gears up for its second tournament since returning from hiatus.

The sport enjoyed a tremendous return to the links last week at the Charles Schwab Challenge, which saw a stacked playing field, star-studded leaderboard, and terrific storylines that all culminated in a backdoor playoff win from Daniel Berger.

The action is looking to be almost as exciting and competitive this week in South Carolina as another loaded field is sure to entice golf bettors from every avenue.

There are some great prop bets available now for the tournament, and with a bit of insight, they could pay out huge.

First Round Leader

  • Webb Simpson +3300

After missing the cut last week, Webb Simpson holds some great value across all bets this weekend.

Simpson can flat out get it done with his medium to long approach game which is a huge factor on a course like RBC.

Simpson also has a great history on this course, finishing 11th, 5th, and 16th since 2017. Simpson at +3300 to lead the first round is a bit arbitrary, but he is also available at online betting sites at +150 odds for a Top 20 finish and +2800 to win the whole thing.

Top 10 Finish

  • Colin Morikawa +250
  • C T Pan +1600

Collin Morikawa was about five centimeters away from a potential victory on Sunday when his playoff putt dove out of the hole. Now, he finds himself at +250 odds for a top ten finish this weekend.

Morikawa has always been great off the tee and on the approach, just lacking in the putting department. Last week he gained 3.4 strokes just through his putts, effectively putting the entire field on notice.

On the other hand, C T Pan is the defending champion at this course. Pan won last year at -12 and sits at incredible value for a top ten finish this week.

This year’s RBC is certainly a much more star-studded affair than 2019, but entering a tournament with the confidence of knowing you’ve got it done here before is a huge boost.

Top 20 Finish

  • Brenden Grace +225
  • Bryson DeChambeau -125
  • Jim Furyk +500

Brenden Grace was very strong at Colonial last week, posting a top 20 finish.

Grace also ranks in the top four over the last decade of strokes gained at this week’s course. With so many elite players in the field, Grace has great odds to make it into the top group.

Bryson DeChambeau destroyed the internet last week when he debuted his new offensive-lineman-esque frame and starting launching ballistic missiles from the tee box.

Big Boy Beau now averages 325 yards of carry from his drives and should be able to strong-arm his way to another good weekend at RBC. He also scored two top-five finishes in his last four times here, making a top 20 at -125 a wonderful investment.

Jim Furyk is a name many might be surprised to find on the tour in the year 2020. Furyk just turned 50 last month and while he certainly isn’t looking to bring home the trophy this weekend, a top 20 finish might be in the cards.

The former Ryder Cup captain has two wins at RBC and is the all-time leading money-winner for the event.
