ROAR Digital Seals Sportsbook Deal With Largest Casino In Oregon

  • BetMGM has now entered its fifth state in the nation after making a lengthy deal with the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and their Spirit Mountain Casino business.
  • ROAR Digital and BetMGM will be the provider for retail, mobile, and online sportsbook offerings for the biggest casino in Oregon.

GRAND RONDE, Ore. – Spirit Mountain Casino owned by the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde have signed a deal with ROAR Digital to use their BetMGM sportsbook at their establishment. Through this partnership, BetMGM will have officially entered the sports betting industry in Oregon.

The casino is the largest gambling facility in the Beaver State and will expand into offering patrons the option of gambling on sporting events by the end of the year with ROAR Digital and BetMGM at the helm.

The Art Of The Deal

This partnership will have BetMGM as the official retail sportsbook operator for Spirit Mountain Casino as well as allowing for a ROAR Digital mobile sports betting application. The mobile app can be used only on Tribal grounds per state law. But an internet-accessible sports betting platform for the casino will be available for sports bettors to use across the state, once Spirit has received the proper approvals to launch a website that allows for gambling on sports matchups.

"This joint venture between two of the gaming industry's most recognizable brands will bring a world-class sports betting offering to Oregon," said Stan Dillon, general manager, Spirit Mountain Casino. "We're excited to launch this partnership with BetMGM, which will allow us to extend our established position as the Northwest's premier entertainment destination."

These various sports betting outlets for gamblers in Oregon will be a welcome addition to their legal sports betting market. Many bettors in the state have turned to the Oregon Lottery Scoreboard application when looking to wager on sporting events.

This new deal allows for more options for those that enjoy betting on sports in Oregon. And ROAR Digital is equally excited by their newest partnership which puts the number of BetMGM Sportsbooks at thirteen nationwide with others in Michigan, Mississippi, Nevada, and New Jersey.

Legal Oregon Sports Betting Just Got Bigger

The legal sports betting market in Oregon was expected to do great things but many sports bettors could only place bets with the Scoreboard app which left a lot to be desired until the kinks were worked out.

However, late last year during its first month of business, the application took in $13.1 million in handle and saw $1 million in revenue after payouts.

It’s been estimated that the sports betting market in Oregon could see as much as $627 million in yearly bets placed with a revenue of over $43 million. Now that BetMGM has entered the Beaver State, those initial estimates may be able to get that much closer to becoming a reality for the economy of Oregon.
