BURBANK, Calif – Entertainment betting fans have been placing heavy action on who will be the next Black Panther in the upcoming film ‘Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever’.

The titular role was initially held by T’Challa, played by the late Chadwick Boseman. The late actor's passing has led to fan speculation on the new direction of the film.

Most action is being placed on Shuri, played by actress Letitia Wright to dawn the vibranium suit. Shuri has taken the role of black panther before in the comics the movies are based on.

Betting On Black Panther 2

Current odds at USA online sportsbooks taking Shuri are no surprise as this could be a realistic way to continue to films without having to replace Boseman’s T’Challa character.

What Character Will Become The Black Panther

  • Shuri -200
  • Nakia +175
  • Okoye +350
  • Erik Killmonger +500
  • M’Baku (Great Gorilla) +600
  • W’Kabi +700
  • Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier) +1000
  • Field – All Others +400

Disney has not confirmed any details of the forthcoming film, but there has been a push for female representation in the Marvel films by both the actors and fans for some time.

In fact, Letitia Wright herself has stated publicly that there likely would be an all-female Avengers film. Shuri becoming Black Panther would make the transition into the mega film more seamless.

“I don’t think we have to fight for it. Victoria Alonso is very strong about spearheading it, alongside Kevin [Feige],” said Wright on the possibility of Marvel making an all-female Avengers film. “It’s only a matter of time before they do it.”

Another interesting idea that longshot betting fans should look towards is the possibility of Michael B. Jordan returning as Eric Killmonger and taking the role of Black Panther.

This is a long shot, as for starters *spoiler alert* his character was killed in the first film. The second issue would be that Killmonger’s actions in the first movie would make it hard for Wakanda residents to support him taking the reigns as king.

The first issue is easily solvable as the Killmonger character has been killed and resurrected on multiple occasions in the comics. The second issue could be solved easily as well, with director Ryan Coogler using the entirety of the second film humanizing Killmonger.

Michael B. Jordan is also one of the biggest action stars out right now, so Disney wanting to work with him, this time as the starring role, would not be farfetched.

Coogler and Jordan also have a long history of working together. In addition to Black Panther, the pair have worked together on 2015’s ‘Creed’ and 2013’s ‘Fruitvale Station’.

“We all took a hit with the loss of Chadwick [Boseman], so for them trying to figure out how to move forward, I know it’s not an easy thing to do,” said Jordan on hearing the announcement of the second Black Panther film. “So the fact that they settled on a title and figuring out the story, I think is truly incredible. If anybody could figure [it] out, [it’s] Ryan [Coogler, director] and Kevin Feige [Marvel Studios President] and their wonderful producers over there is going to figure out the way to do it.”

Should the pair decide to work with one another again for the next film, longshot entertainment betting fans would come out cashing in big.
